Professional Qualifications of Peter F. Korpacz, MAI,CRE, FRICS

Peter F. Korpacz, MAI, CRE, FRICS (founder and president of Korpacz Realty Advisors, Inc.) has extensive experience in real estate appraisal, litigation support, and counseling. He is experienced in cap rate studies; valuation methodology studies; appraisal reviews; valuations of numerous property types, including regional malls, hotels, big-box retail, corporate headquarters, and data centers; and methodology studies for valuations in distressed markets, hotels, underperforming regional malls, big-box retail, and chain drug store properties.

Mr. Korpacz is the original publisher of the quarterly Korpacz Real Estate Investor Survey®.  He was a principal researcher and advisor for the annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate® from the 2001 U.S. issue through the 2008 U.S. issue.

He is the author of numerous articles; contributor to numerous real estate books, including the 8th and 9th Editions of The Appraisal of Real Estate and the 1st and 2nd Editions of The Dictionary of Real Estate Appraisers were both published by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He was author and co-author of several articles published in The Appraisal Journal.  One article – “Changing Emphasis in Appraisal Techniques: The Transition to Discounted Cash Flow” – was cited to be one of nine articles over the first 75-year (1932-2007) history of The Appraisal Journal that had a “meaningful influence on the readership.”
